Planned Office Interiors is a family run business based in Staffordshire. They have over forty years of experience in providing innovative commercial space design, fit-out, furniture and maintenance solutions for their customers across the UK. They work collaboratively with surveyors, architects, suppliers and directly with clients to get the best from places of work.

In April 2021, Planned Office Interiors first approached Fletchers when work began on their site on Booth Street in Manchester. They were being continuously let down from their original supplier and needed a waste management company that would be reliable with their skip deliveries and collections. The site also required a quick turnaround and a high volume of movements, so it was important we could accommodate this.

Our solution

Due to Booth Street being a city-centre location, our Account Manager reviewed the site and felt that the access was too restricted for skips to be a suitable option. These concerns were discussed with Planned Office Interiors and man and van collections were suggested to remove access concerns and improve the efficiency of deliveries and collections. By working with our extensive supply chain in the area, we provided van collection wait and loads suitable for the light construction waste produced from the site.

Throughout this project, Planned Office Interiors had to work quickly on different phases and could not give a lot of notice for when they would need to have waste collected. Due to this, we made sure there was availability to provide movements with very short notice to meet their needs. 

Overall, we provided roughly 30 man and van collection wait and loads for this project, often arranged on the same or the next day depending on their requirements. By working closely with project managers, all loads were collected within the requested time slots. No collections were missed, meaning the project could progress on time, avoiding delays and ensuring no additional costs to the customer.

Our original waste supplier at Booth Street wasn’t reliable and could not keep up with the quick turnaround that was essential for this project. After approaching Fletchers, we found their rates to be very competitive and were delighted that the service was also brilliant. All movements were done within the requested times and they were able to accommodate movements at short notice (same day and next day). The staff at Fletchers all carry the same dedication to their work which is exceptional. Our account manager Natasha always goes the extra mile, whether we need waste management or just advice.
